ACTIVE LEARNING
The preschool classroom is designed with joyful learning in mind. Learning centers encourage small group interactions with high-interest materials and plenty of time for discovery and “a-ha!” moments.
POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS
Warm, positive relationships with adults and peers help shape children’s understanding of the world around them. Our focus on well-being includes attention to feelings, problem solving, critical thinking, and emotional regulation.
CREATIVE EXPRESSION
Every preschooler is an artist! Through daily experiences in art, music and movement, and dramatic play, children are encouraged to be curious, try new things, and creatively express their feelings.
BUILDING COMMUNITY
To develop our caring community of learners, preschoolers work together to establish classroom “rules” (age-appropriate expectations), including how to demonstrate kindness and responsibility.
